PPL Electric AEC/LTAEC RFP - ANNOUNCEMENT: Commission's Decision on Bids in July 2026 Solicitation
Today, the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (“Commission”) rendered decisions on the July 2026 Solicitation.
- The Commission approved the bids for the Alternative Energy Credits RFP (AEC RFP).
- The Commission approved the bids for the Long-Term PA Solar AEC RFP (LTAEC RFP).
This was the second AEC RFP and the second and last LTAEC RFP solicitation under PPL Electric’s sixth Default Service Program (“DSP VI”).
The Secretarial Letter and the summary of procurement results are posted to the RFP Results page of the Alternative Energy Credits section and the Long-Term PA Solar AEC section of the RFP website.
The RFP documents were issued on May 11, 2026 for this July 2026 solicitation. Bidders’ qualification materials were due on June 4, 2026, and all qualified bidders were notified of their status on June 24, 2026. Bid Proposal spreadsheets were due on July 14, 2026. The Commission evaluated the results within one business day.
